The Hurricane At War is a detailed film history of the Hawker Hurricane from the Hurricane I which accounted for the first Luftwaffe 'kill' of the war, to the Hurricane IV version which served with distinction against the Japanese in the Pacific.

With its formidable armaments and superior handling characteristics, the Hurricane accounted for over two-thirds of all enemy aircraft destroyed in the Battle of Britain. Originally vestored against Luftwaffe bomber formations while Spitfire squadrons took on the fighter escorts, the Hurricane nevertheless proved itself capable of taking on the Me109 - and winning.

Veteran Hurricane pilots offer a unique insight into what it was like to fly and how it acquited itself in combat, illustrated by some of the best dog fight footage from the Battle of Britain.

The Hurrican At War also features IID 'Tankbuster' versions in action in the Western Desert, and rare combat footage of 'Hurri-bombers' striking at Japanese positions during the Burma Campaign.
