The New Breed. Story of the U.S. marines in korea
Writing a detailed history of men in battle poses the same problem faced by a commander when selections are made for decorations and awards. Manymen of great courage are overlooked because their acts of heroism were unobserved or died with the man who would have reported the act. The process of selection and elimination was an unhappy task because the heroic actions of many fine Marines and Naval Corpsmen had to go unrecorded. This will always be the case until each individual can file his own action report.
